This patch program includes the following:
- An Error #5 message was encountered in the Bivariate GARCH application resulting in WorkBench
terminating itself. This was caused by an unhandled parsing check of a null value. This has
been corrected in this download patch.
Includes the following modifications from previous patches:
- May5,2004: Running a spreadsheet task that builds an SCA data macro file from an Excel spreadsheet resulted in an extra
blank line inserted after a data row that exceeded 132 characters. This caused the SCA engine to report
blank lines and abort data reading if too many blank lines are found. That problem has been corrected in this patch.
- May5,2004: A new dialog box "ARIMA Forecasting" has been added to WorkBench that provides a simple dialog box to
specify, estimate and forecast an ARIMA model in a single execution. The user can have the SCA engine automatically
identify an appropriate model, select from a set of common pre-specified models, or the user can specify
an ARIMA model using the dialog menu.
- Jan12,2004: TSMODEL dialog fixed. The differencing orders specified for transfer function model and intervention model specifications
caused an extra comma or erroneous differencing term to be inserted into the model specification.
- Jan12,2004: File search pattern entry box modified for "Run SCA w/ Macro", "Edit Macro", "Edit File" to avoid repeated not-found messages
when editing the file pattern to locate a file.
- Jan12,2004: CALL Data Macro and CALL Analysis Macro dialogs enhanced. When selecting a data macro or analysis macro that is located in the
current working directory, the path is removed. This avoids problems accessing files with spaces in the path by the SCA
System engine.
- Jan12,2004: SIMULATE, SSIMULATE, MSIMULATE and LAYOUT dialogs modified. The SEED for the random number generate was changed from
a variable name "random" to an actual 7-digit number. A button "
- Jan12,2004: NPLOT (normal plot) dialog added to Quality and Productivity Improvement topic.
- Jan12,2004: CPLOT (cube plot) dialog fixed. Use of this dialog caused an initialization error when generating the SCA System syntax.
- Dec22,2003: System Profile enhanced with an option to make a local copy of the scapmpt.dat and scauhelp.dat file into the current
working directory. This option is most useful for network installations and reducing network I/O when working in SCA
interactive mode.
- Dec22,2003: NLTEST dialog fixed. Options that are currently not available in NLTEST have been removed including PRINT and HOLD.
- Aug28, 2003: Allows users to change working directories during an interactive SCA session. SCA workspace is automatically saved and recalled after
the working directory is changed.
- Aug28, 2003: HISTOGRAM dialog fixed. The WIDTH default value has been corrected.
- Aug28 2003: Fixes a scripting problem in GARCH Analysis application environment regarding the use of regression variables in the
user-directed two-pass method. The model was mis-specified if differencing terms were omitted on the regression components.
